There are purists in the ghost sign world, (yes, there is a subculture of ghost sign enthusiasts.), who disapprove of restoration.
We here at Faded Ad Art are coming around to the idea of restoration.
Why?
Because someday it will fade again, and be a ghost sign again.
So,the Faded Ad Art official position is "It's better to restore than lose altogether."
