An important lesson in seizing the day.
Hanging from the corner was a sign for Merry Weather Leathers. They closed recently. I just noticed Sunday as I walked past, the store was being cleaned out.
Can't say I'm surprised, as I never, ever, ever saw anyone shopping there.
But, more importantly for this blog, their sign. It had neon. It had pictures of Bicycle and Bee playing cards. It was beautiful, and I hope it finds a new home, perhaps at the American Sign Museum.
I WAS sure I had a picture of it somewhere, and I was right!

Whoa! I had a feeling that store was on its last legs, but the sign was still there the other day. I walk down that block all the time, and I'm pretty sure I never bothered to take a photo of their cool neon sign.
