Note the Fred Lemon signature. The only reference to him we could find is in the now-famous City Beat article.
On Vine, just north of the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
City Barns, a few of which stand today, were where they kept streetcars.
And in this case, those streetcars were horse-drawn.
Fred Lemon was my dad. He would turn 101 this October 18 if he were still alive. Dad did signs all over Cincinnati back in the day. Many required a scaffold to paint as they were up very high. You could view his huge Pepsi signs over I-75.
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful! I've see his name all over the city, (even though I haven't been the best at labeling them.) Here's a few: http://fadedadart.blogspot.com/search/label/Fred%20Lemon
